Dr. Saines attended Medical School at Brussels University, Belgium and his training in General Surgery was completed in New York City, at Mount Sinai Hospital. He then completed a Vascular Fellowship at the University of Southern California. Approximately 25 percent of women and 15 percent of men in the United States have varicose veins and Dr. Saines is one of the first specialists trained to use the Trivex System to treat varicose veins. The TriVex System offers a much safer and more effective means to treat varicose veins as opposed to outdated traditional methods. Untreated Varicose Veins can be a real health hazard – not only creating unpleasant feeling and burning sensation but later, as the condition progresses, the skin becomes harder and turns darker around the varices and swelling of the calf or thigh occurs. Then, perhaps a year or two down the road, the patient may end up with an ulcer.
