History of World Savings Day
This is not a new idea.

In 1929 leaders in the European banking industry met in Milan, Italy, at a banking conference. The purpose of this meeting was to generate awareness of how important it was to save money for the future.

The goal was to educate young adults and children about the importance of saving. Eighty years later the program still exists. In Germany the event is called Weltspartag (World Savings Day), and it occurs usually in late October and lasts usually a whole week.

During Weltspartag banks and savings institutions promote savings. They offer incentives to open accounts and savings programs. Children and young people who open accounts are given official savings pass books, so they can watch their savings grow. The event could be considered a win, win. Children get to learn how to save their money, and parents learn to support their children in this process, offering encouragement.

Bright Performance aims to initiate interest in this program by collecting over 100,000 E-mail addresses. Join us.
